Overview
In 2009 I started a beauty blog to show detail photos and comparisons for indie makeup products, since many people were interested in indie makeup but were hesitant about trying them since they couldn't see the products in stores. I installed and configured the CMS, wrote the template code, planned out the schedule of content, created all content, and published on the blog and via social media. I have regularly maintained the CMS, including finding XML migration plugins to move existing content into a clean install, after 8 years using the much-upgraded original-installation database and files.
As of October 2018, there are over 8,000 tagged and categorized entries. I have no guest posts and no sponsored content. In the past I have hosted a number of beauty-blog-community events:
